At a presentation of upcoming Warner Bros. Studios projects at CinemaCon, it was announced the rental name of the film “Matrix 4” – “The Matrix Resurrections” (“Matrix: Rebirth”), and also demonstrated the first trailer.
At the beginning of the video Thomas Anderson (Keanu Reeves) finds himself at a therapy session and confesses to his doctor (Neil Patrick Harris): “I had dreams which were not just dreams. Have I lost my mind?” He feels something is wrong with the world, but has no memory of what the Matrix is. Later, he runs into a woman (Carrie-Anne Moss) in a coffee shop. They shake hands and there seems to be something between them, but neither of them remembers the other. Anderson spends his days taking prescription blue pills and wonders why everyone in his world is glued to their phones. One day he looks around and realizes that he is the only one in the crowded elevator who isn’t looking at the screen.
Eventually Reeves’ character encounters a man (Yahya Abdul-Matin II) who resembles Morpheus. This mysterious man hands Anderson a red pill, and soon the viewer sees scenes in which he is once again endowed with the ability to see the Matrix and its false reality.
